Now half way through this season, I'm touching on world building within fiction.
It's not only science fiction and fantasy that need a bit of world creation, most other genres do too. I include the horror genre in this episode as well mentioning Joe Hill, Stephen King, HG Wells and books by Andrew Crofts and David Gerrold by way of research resources for writers.

Season 13 episode 3: Dopamine Hits.
It's amazing how much we need this hormone and neurotransmitter, and how much it helps us love what we do and helps us to continue doing it.
Okay, that sounds a bit grand. But think about it. Without loving what we do as writers, readers don't get their own dopamine hits by reading our stories.
This episode contains a radio interview in the middle between me and author Angela Cairns from Colne Radio in Essex discussing, among other things, the excitement and passion of writing including getting dopamine hits.
